Yashpal Sharma’s International Career

Yashpal began playing international cricket in 1977, and he quickly made a name for himself as an aggressive batsman. He had a reputation as a big hitter who could score runs quickly and was often used as an opener or pinch hitter by the Indian team. During his 10-year career, he played in three Tests, 33 ODIs and scored more than 1000 runs in both formats. His highest Test score was 83 against Pakistan while his highest ODI score was 91 against Sri Lanka.
