India National Cricket Team’s No.1 all-rounder Hardik Pandya underwent a successful surgery in London for a serious lower-back injury that could force him out of action for a longer period.
“Surgery was done successfully. Grateful to everybody for your good wishes. Will probably be back in no time! Until then miss me,” Hardik submitted a message using an image on his Instagram account on Saturday, October 5.
Hardik is predicted to be out of action for five months.
The Indian all-rounder is the important player of Indian Cricket Team following Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled from this ongoing Test series against South Africa because of a stress fracture in his lower back.
Hardik played the Twenty20 series against South Africa before being ruled out of Test series due to the injury. Not only this, Hardik will miss the T20Is against Bangladesh as well.
Hardik first sustained the injury throughout the Asia Cup in UAE past September. He recovered in time to play with at the IPL and the World Cup prior to the injury resurfaced.
The all-rounder that has played 11 Tests, 54 ODIs and 40 T20Is, is going to be an imporant player of the Indian team throughout the upcoming year’s Cricket World T20 supposed to be held in Australia.
